STEVE MCSWAIN

Steve McSwain is an author, speaker, teacher, and celebrated generosity strategist with Catholic, Evangelical, and Protestant congregations across America. Having provided generosity and leadership counsel in hundreds of annual and capital campaigns coast to coast, Steve has successfully navigated congregational generosity initiatives enabling them to collectively raise nearly a half billion dollars for worthy causes worldwide.

With decades of ministry experience within virtually every Christian tradition, Steve believes that generosity itself is a grace, or gift, from God and that growth in this Divine grace is one of the defining characteristics of a spiritually mature parish or congregation. As St. Paul put it, “As you excel in everything-in faith, in speech, in knowledge, see that you excel in the grace of giving as well.” (2 Corinthians 8:7)

Steve understands the challenges faced by priests, pastors, and Christian leaders. He has devoted his adult life to serving the Church and guiding Christ followers toward transformational spiritual growth in generosity.

Steve holds a doctorate degree in theology and preaching. He and his wife, Pam, make their home in Louisville, Kentucky. They are the proud parents of four children, five grandchildren, and two miniature dachshunds.
